Once More


Another hug goodbye,

Another drive into the city.

Another evening spent packing little clothes,

Another unmaking of the little bed.

Another picture on our fridge,

And thirty more pictures printed besides.

Another life of adjusting- to the old normal or the new normal, I’m not sure.

Another name as we pray,

Another six weeks of memories.

Another little piece of our hearts walking out the door,

And another little visitor gone home once more.
